General Franco was very impressive yesterday.

But his namesake, General Franco, was a Spanish Dictator of note. This has been highlighted supposedly by a Spanish person on twitter in reply to Racing Guru video of the win.

En concreto, la aceptación del nombre “General Franco” por parte de

I am at the stage where i feel sorry for just "normal" people. They could now be in the minority. Lol

......that may be so .....but it's not up to the public to judge.....the name has been used here before without objections and thus a precedent stands.....besides who is going to challenge the very connected guy that forked out ZAR4 BAR......all I heard is how the trainer, racing manager and jock talked with the upmost respect for him and how he wanted the horse to be raced.....few owners even with bigger financial clout have not had that much respect....

If your going to name your dog or fish Hitler, Amin or Franco then no problem however when your using the name in the public domain there is a different set of rules.

This name definitely qualifies as publicly offensive.

Just my opinion, all disclaimers apply ....
