......had my say on the Vaal thread.....maybe they did not want to upset the jock after the commentator made a big deal about it.....not his best ride and maybe wanted to send the trainer away with pride.....:huh:

Must have been close. Pierre should have changed his stick and he does give the other horse a bump. The half a length and closeness to the line probably saved him. Could get a week or so for causing interference.

Watch Strydom's hand on the rein and he changes the horses course onto the other horse.
You can clearly see him pull the horse in a left direction. His left hand should be going straight up the horses neck!
Old trick of his and he is the master of getting a horse to roll onto or into the path of his danger.
Hawkeye clearly shows this!!!
