"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Wednesday 30 July Workings.
16 years 10 months ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 3.5, and with being around 3.35/3.5 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.5 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 2.34 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 3.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.93. There was then another non runner and further 17.3% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.6. The price was a well supported 2.2 and shortening on arrival, so we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result........
The 4th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.82 and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 2.82 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
The 5th runner we wanted 1.3, and with being around 1.4 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.....
The 6th runner we wanted 2.0, and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.0 max. The lay looked in trouble, but ground out the win, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......
The 7th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 2.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.24 (3.25 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.3 on arrival and then dropped back down to us, so we ad a lay at 3.25 max. The price then drifted back out to our own price of 3.55 (was 3.6 before reductions) and so a chance for traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 8th runner we wanted 2.44, and with being around 2.16 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.16. The race is over 10 minutes away and all strategy play now complete, so with just a little trading on offer I'm leaving it here to finalise this evening's workings. Good luck trading the rest and speak soon,...
WELL PLAYED.......(3 from the first 6 (50%) went and won, so a tough start, but we played it well and got the money)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 2 targets..............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner).........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 4th runner, and went and hit their targets on their 3rd lay (the 6th runner).....That left them with an insufficient amount left to start another strategy/target and so they end the session winning 2 targets..
'Bank builder' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.2 max and a good result see 4 runner builders go within 10% of their targets, so always advised to take that and run.....
5 runner builders win a big chunk of their targets, but they carry on needing a little bit and had their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.82 max, and a good result see them hit their targets too.....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100.
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10
Total bank now £410
1st lay £102.50 to win as much of the £90 needed @ 2.2 max. Result positive. Win £85
Total bank now £495
So with being within 10% of the target, it's always advised to stop here and take the money.
Overall result. Target hit.

Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.

'Traders' have either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys and good luck with the remainder..
So builders played a good, solid, disciplined game early on and got their money. Rollers made a couple and so good stuff. Well played and speak soon with this evening's workings.
Marc.
