"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening Session' Wednesday 30 July Workings.
16 years 10 months ago
Evening.
This evening completed, and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 1.46, and with being around 1.64 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 2.6 and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 3.0 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.0. The lay was beaten and so a good result........
The 4th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 2.6 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 5th and final runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 3.45 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED......................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - So a tough start, but we dug deep and walked away fine)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) see the first runner go by without any play, so they have no play and walk away level......Those that took a chance and played a 4 runner strategy ended up breaking level on their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) and so walked away levels too.....
'Bank building' strategy/target players (4 runner only) had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.6 max, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 3.0 max and a good result see them win a chunk back..........Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.6 max, and a good result see them break level........
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100.
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.6 max. Result negative. Lose £100
Total bank now £300
2nd lay £100 to recoup as much of the £100 @ 3.0 max. Result positive. Win £50
Total bank now £350
3rd lay £175 to recoup the £50 @ 2.6 max. Result positive. Win £50
Total bank now £400
So with being level and only one potential lay left, it's always advised to take the levels and run with now no room at all for error.
Overall result. Level.

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys....
So levels for all strategy players and after that tough start (yet again) we'll settle for it and return in the morning. Speak then...
Marc.

Afternoon.
The workings for this evening, as follows:
6.00 Kempton. SILVANUS (1.64)
Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.46, or under, we'll chance a lay.
6.15 Leicester. COOK'S ENDEAVOUR (2.66)
Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.7 or under.
8.00 Kempton. BERRY BABY (3.0)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.3 or under.
8.15 Leicester. EYES LIKE A HAWK (2.6)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
8.30 Kempton. ROSE STREET (3.2)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. Wed lay up to 3.3 or under.
All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 17.15pm.
That's all we have for this evening then. The minimum amount and so no room at all for error early, and that's if we actually get a start. Anyhow, we'll do only what we can and if we fail to get a start, then there's plenty of sunshine still about! So good luck and speak soon guys.
