We now have a new sire gracing our paddocks. I genuinely hope he makes it because breeding is a tough game. Having said that Im beginning to wonder if Im the only one that see's that horse racing is an up side down business.

We literally advertise to people to come to our next sale because the numbers on our previous sale were UP.
The auctioneer literally starts off by saying "here we have so and so by that wonderful sire so and such , sire of multiple champion so and much more"
What the auctioneer NEVER says is " here we have so and so by that she so and such which bred 113 yearlings in his 1st crop if which 1 won angoup 1 and the other 112 all ran unplaced."

Its a bizarre world this horse racing world

The countries ,GDP is down 3.2% for the 1st quarter of 2019 being the lowest in over a decade.
Agriculture and mining being the biggest losers . Unemployment is at it's highest ever..

We have to think very smartly before we buy or even mate a mare ,as things are going to be very tight.
