Piere Strydom will not be riding in Mauritius on Saturday after receiving a one-meeting ban and a fine of Rs50,000 (R19,695).

Strydom paid the price after falling foul of Regulation 53 that in the opinion of the Racing Stewards or the Administrators he conducted himself in an improper manner “for hitting apprentice Brandon Louis with his whip shortly after the finish line”.

Strydom will be back in the saddles at Sunday’s meeting.

Can’t blame him.
Some dangerous riding out there.

i dont know where u find videos for Mo. but i would guess deliberate. in the race the appie cut him off quite deliberatly and dangerously.
in the pull up strydom was having a full go at the appie.
