fview not my most favorite cause and i live in pe wind always plays a big part..

r1 bit of talk from owner about benevolence giving the 6 a good go so no bet for me in the 1st in a weak field

r2 - foreign source for me 8-10 is a bit short though 5 horse is 4kg better off for 2 legnths

r3 - expecting one of the bremner horses to win 1 4 5 the 3 horses for me

r4 - 4 looks hard to beat here no idea why 5 and 6 are so high in the betting but if somehow the 4 fluffs 5 or 6 to clean up

r5 - 4 and 10 i do like skydancer here to dbl with foreign source

r6 - either banker toltec or take the field simple as that

r7 - i had a look at the betting in this race and i fancy microbe at the back looking for a brother strydom dbl couldnt believe to find the 7 at 22-10 my card had this one at 25-1 so im not sure if that dbl is still on but ill stick with the 7

r8 - microbe strong only danger is the 4 imo

Nadine’s TRAINER COMMENTS :

RACE 1 :

1st four selections

6 / 1 / 5 / 7

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 5 and 6 - BENEVOLENCE, GIVEMETHETHUMBSUP & FIRST KNIGHT : Benevolence is working well and has a place chance. Givemethethumbsup is expected to improve. First Knight is improving steadily.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 7 - MASTEROFTHEPARTY : He needed the gelding and has filled out well. He takes quite a step up in trip, but is looking for this and this is the right field to try it in.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 2 and 4 - CONVENTION & RED FOREST : Convention’s work is a lot better than her form, so really hoping she brings it. Red Forest must improve.

RACE 2 :

1st four selections

2 / 5 / 1 / 6

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1 and 2 - VIKING MOON & FOREIGN SOURCE : Viking Moon tries the 1400m off a lengthy break and could need it, but he should still run well. Foreign Source loves the 1400m, is in good form and has a winning chance.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 5 - SCARBOROUGH FAIR : She does prefer turf but is very honest and not without chance.

GAVIN SMITH - Number 3 - SIR CALEB : He is working well but does bump a competitive field.

RACE 3 :

1st four selections

1 / 5 / 4 / 3

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 2 and 7 - BLANCO, ROCKS AND DAGGERS & FALLING FOR YOU : Blanco is working well and should be thereabouts. Rocks and Daggers will be better this trip. Falling for You is expected to improve.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 6 - MARCELLIN : He needs further, so trying the mile will suit. He debuts on Poly but improvement is expected.

RACE 4 :

1st four selections

4 / 8 / 1 / 6

• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 1, 5 and 12 - ELUSIVE GREEN, EFFORT & QUERENCIA : Elusive Green is versatile on surfaces and though she is drawn wide she enjoys the mile, is always trying and should be thereabouts again. Effort was disappointing last time out. She makes her Poly debut and is unfortunately not well drawn, but we are hoping for improvement. Querencia ran a fair last, she is looking for further so trying the mile should suit. She does still need to strengthen up and to learn to race but improvement is expected from a good draw.

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 6 and 8 - CALANDRA & AMPLE GLORY : Calandra is always thereabouts. Ample Glory is improving and is looking for the extra, she can be there.

MONTANNA TURNER - Number 7 - WORLD SQUARED : She ran a disappointing race in her last and she may prefer turf, but we are hoping she can improve.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 10 - TEQUILA MARIA : She must improve.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 9 and 11 - FASHION FORCE, HOLLYWOOD THUNDER & INAN : Fashion Force will enjoy the mile. Hollywood Thunder is also expected to improve over this trip. Inan may still be green, but could place.

RACE 5 :

1st four selections

4 / 10 / 6 / 13

• GRANT PADDOCK - Number 3 - FORT CAROL : He has his first run out the maidens and is up in class , but he has come on back home, is working very well and is not without chance.

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 4 and 10 - STREAM OF KINDNESS & SKYDANCER : Stream of Kindness can round up her hat trick. Skydancer needs gelding but could place.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 7, 11 and 12 - TWICE A POET, DUKE OF HAZARD & EMERITO : Twice a Poet and Duke of Hazard can run into quartets. Emerito is working well and is expected to improve.

TARA LAING - Number 8 - LEADMAN : He doesn’t enjoy the Poly, but could perhaps place.

SHARON KOTZEN - Number 9 - CHIEF BLACK HORSE : He is better on turf, but is working well and better is expected as he did need his last.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 1 - CAPE LEOPARD : He enjoys the mile and can get closer.

RACE 6 :

1st four selections

4 / 3 / 2 / 5

• TARA LAING - Numbers 2, 5 and 7 - GO DIRECT, FREE AGENT & ARANJUEZ : Go Direct has his first local run on Poly, but has done well on it in Natal and can run into quartets. Free Agent runs his best races on the Poly and he has a chance. Aranjuez is up against a strong field, he could perhaps have a quartet chance.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 3 - SHOGUN : He has his first run for the yard and is a lovely big, strong horse. His work is good and he is in with a shout.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 6 - DAWNBREAKER & SEATTLE SWING : Dawnbreaker is trying further. Seattle Swing is up in class but could place.

RACE 7 :

1st four selections

3 / 1 / 2 / 7

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 3 and 6 - FOREHAND, LUNA WISH & WATSONIA : Forehand had excuses for her last and can be competitive. Luna Wish has her first run back off a break, but can win. Watsonia tries blinkers, she is never far back and can place.

•GAVIN SMITH - Number 8 - CLOUD ATLAS : She is working well and can run into quartets.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 11 - READY SET GO : She is drawn wide, but generally is never far back, always trying and has a quartet chance.

SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 4, 9 and 10 - TWIN FALLS, ROYAL AGREE & HOME RULER : Twin Falls needs to drop in the ratings. She is drawn well and will appreciate a touch further, but her merit rating has caught her. Royal Agree ran a cracker in her last and course and distance will suit here, so we are expecting further improvement from her. Home Ruler has her first for the yard, she is well drawn but this will be a learning curve.

TARA LAING - Number 5 - LA ROQUETTE : She did win her last race on Poly and must have a good chance.

RACE 8 :

1st four selections

15 / 1 / 4 / 10

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 5, 6 and 10 - ELUSIVE DIVA, MISS JACKSONVILLE, PLACE DU MARCHE & BLACK GARDENIA : Elusive Diva will be better back in trip and has an each way shout. Miss Jacksonville has her post maiden run and is up in class. Place du Marche can place. Black Gardenia was caught way too far back in her last and based on her post maiden run can do a lot better.

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 13 - NEVERLETUGO : Neverletugo ran on really well in her last over 1000m. Her draw is a concern but she will definitely appreciate further.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 3 and 7 - LOVE TALK, YODALICIOUS & STEADY BREEZE : Love Talk enjoys track and trip. Hoping for improvement from Yodalicious. Steady Breeze is drawn wide and that is a concern.

SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 8 and 16 - JUST AMAZING & SHE’S FOXY : Just Amazing ran a disappointing last. She is drawn well and the 1300m on Poly will suit so she can improve. Hoping for an improved run from She’s Foxy.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 11 and 14 - STAR OF FAIRVIEW & TREE OF LIFE : Star of Fairview is drawn well and we are hoping for improvement. Tree of Life needed her last and can improve, though the wide draw is a negative.

Race 1. A very weak field. Smith has half the runners, and Yeni is on First Knight. I can't have any of this rubbish at evens, so I'll stay out of it.
Race 2 Some smart 3yos. Viking Moon and Foreign Source are the obvious 2 to fight it out, although Glory Days won well last time and has plenty scope for improvement. Scarborough Fair is well in at the weights on best form, but she appears better on turf.
Race 3 Blanco has had plenty of chances - he is quite consistent and this could be his chance to crack his maiden. In the Navy also well exposed and has similar form. Cyclone Jack, Gaelic Storm and Falling For You are 3yos with scope for improvement and any of them could pop up.
Race 4. We have Elusive Green running. She has been very consistent this trip in PE but has a wide draw to overcome. She should again earn a cheque. Blushing Bride was undone by a wide draw last time and should win this comfortably.
Race 5 A lottery
Race 6 Toltec won as he liked last time but is up 8 points and takes on stronger. Odds-On not for me. Dawnbreaker ran a fair sprint last time and if he sees out this trip could make his presence felt. Shogun brings stronger centre form, but has gone up an extra 5 points. Free Agent ran well this track last time.
Race 7 Luna Wish returns from a break and has a wide draw but looks a very promising prospect. Dancing in Seattle very consistent and must be respected. An open handicap.
We have Twin Falls and Royal Agree running. Twin Falls has been very harshly treated by the handicapper ever since her debut win. She needs to come down in the ratings. Royal Agree has been disappointing her last three, and she won't get too many more chances if she doesn't improve.
Race 8. Another lottery. My runner She's Foxy has been battling and she is another that must improve or retire.

BENEVOLENCE could upset the favourite in Race 1. This one has been backed by the stable in the past!

Good one Sammy.
Benevolence 2.85 3.50 4.00 5.00 4.50 5.00 5.65 6.00
And it wins with pretty much no money on today.

EMERITO (WIN)

40/1

Dst: 8:0-1-1
C&D:7:0-1-1

Trainer comments
(Emerito is working well and is expected to improve)

My analysis

Equipment change/tongue tie on

Last run should be ignored showed no effort and faded on the straight, penultimate run was drawn wide over the 1300m fast pace set lacked strong finish

Looking at some of the runs over the 1600m (last 8runs)

Course and trip Mr70 handicap
Draw 1-14 carried 54kgs
Finished a short head second (0.20lengths off the winner)
Set pace-fought hard

Course and trip Mr72 handicap
Draw 4-6 carried 52.5kgs
Finished in 3rd place (2.35lengths off the winner)
Handy stayed on

Runs within last 4 efforts

Course and distance Mr72 handicap
Draw 11-13 carried 54.5kgs
Finished in 6th place BUT ONLY 1.15lengths off the winner
Made last progress

Course and distance Mr72 handicap
Draw 5-10 carried 54.5kgs
Finished in 5th place 2.60lengths off the winner
Set pace stayed on

Contests a Mr68 handicap today and Draw 3 apprentice onboard,only carrying 52kgs

Trainers comments are positive
FORM RUNNERS DRAWN WIDE

BIG RUNNER!!!
