Sorry - could not watch this - Watching the horse at the Vaal breakdown was bad enough for me. Hate this part of racing.

What do we do about it ?

We are passionate about horse racing ? or are we more on about the punting part ?

How do we as punters still punt after watching this ?

Not nice, I certainly hope most of our horses are not dwelt in this manner. I make sure my horses have gone to good homes once leaving the racing industry, maybe because I treat them more like part of the family, each have their own character. Karma Karma... treat them like you would like to be treated if you were them.

El - it's tragic yes.

However accidents happen - Horses break down. Short of 'banning' any form of 'sport' between man and beast - what can you do, other than make it as 'safe' as posible.

Its a slaughter house for horses, where they are put down and as many parts are used
as possible,for glue, hair, etc.
