Well can't believe in the current climate that nobody has thoughts and fears?

Let's consider the following.:

Zuma was actually jailed, well done to the judicial system.

Now we have the violent protests which are horrendous for the economy, the police must clamp down and continue arresting law breakers.
If army needed bring them in .

Cyril speaks on Sunday and one would imagine there can be little relief for the economy to restaurants and bottle stores due to the current Covid stats with slow roll out of vaccinations.

Do u think we can have an upswing next month if we stick to the rule of law, increase vaccinations and get back to normal ? 🤔🙏

Zuma going to jail is just one faction of a dysfunctional ANC executive taking out opposition using state machinery. Does this mean the ANC have turned over a new leaf absolutely not.

The fact that the Army has not been deployed to Zululand is beyond me. The economic damage being done in Richards Bay and now the greater Zululand is unforgivable. Add to that the vacuum created by no Zulu king and a very weak Provincial Premier.

Covid sadly seems to be getting worse in some provinces. Gauteng is lower but still massive numbers compared to the otehr 8 provinces.

Will the booze ban be extended for another two weeks i reckon so.

Will the October elections be postponed at some stage. More and more likely. Concourt here we come again.

Finally Zondo commission Alumni, JHB mayor and serial name changer has croaked from Covid.

I'll bite...

The Concourt blinked in deciding to hear Zuma's appeal hence doubting the decision they had already made...if the highest court cannot be decisive, and make decisions on the law as it is rather than what they think it should be, that is nothing to applaud...

The ANC erred with the amendment of the "step aside" resolution...at the elective conference, it was those "implicated" (includes CR7 and his posse) but NEC tweaked it to "charged" (use CR7 aligned / appointed NPA to target opponents but keeps CR7 and his posse safe)...Magashule (who is dirty like the rest of the thieves so I hope he goes to prison also) rightly says that his job as SG is to implement conference resolutions and not those passed by a dominant faction in the NEC...who have many luminaries that are just as dirty, just currently in the "right" faction...

The police and Minister initially didn't want to carry out the warrant until all appeals were resolved and then changed tune...

The ANC statement by Jesse Duarte was littered with inconsistencies which tells you that the CR7 ANC and its "anti-corruption" stance is laughable...and the unresolved matters of Kuselo Diko, Zizi Kodwa, Zweli Mkhize, PPE fraud, etc show that the CR7 faction is no different to the JZ/Magashule faction...it's just going to lead to more Zulu / non-Zulu conflict that starts within the ANC and spreads like KZN in the 80s...under apartheid, the tribes had a common enemy...now they are enemies for limited resources due to previous theft...

So, yes, much to be fearful for as the minorities are going to get caught in the tribal battles that are intensifying...we are hostage to a thieving politburo who know that they have to steal as much as possible before they are replaced by the next thieving politburo...read about what is happening at the ANC at branch level to fix the next elective conference...

So, our generation of 40-70 + year olds, will find a way to get through (ons maak 'n plan) but we must get our children out for them to make their futures elsewhere where their ability can be maximised rather than seen as a threat to a majority who cannot see that the venom they show towards minorities, in general, has poisoned their (the majorities) futures...sad...

The situation in KZN requires the army to get involved and hope Cyril will make the call.

He's too busy making sure his buddies have stocked up on booze and benefitting from tenders to worry about thugs doing as they please and terrorising those that have no interest in tribal politics...

The problem CR7 has is that he got his wealth through the deals made (at or after Codesa) with business, many that benefitted during apartheid and even more after apartheid as the economy opened up, and now he has no moral or ethical standing to tell his fellow thieves to stop when they want to get their share of the riches he already has...he's the standard they all aspire too so by hook or crook they will do...

And to use the army against ANC supporters is to split the ANC when is stated goal is ANC unity no matter what...even if it means a blind eye to all the criminality they engage in...as we have already seen...don't believe the "long game" nonsense the media are quick to ascribe to CR7 as a quality...you keep your fellow thieves happy or you are on the outside...and that is what he has and is doing...

Its no use calling in the Army, because our "Army" personnel are either

A)On AWOL,
B)On indefinite sick leave or suspension(full pay)
C) Making babies in the DRC or
D) All of the above

With respect to (C), is that going to be the SA Army's "legacy" in the DRC after being sent there solely to protect some private interests? Sad...

The good news is that the vaccine rollout is now getting serious momentum with the involvement of the private sector. While we have lost valuable time, the outlook is vastly improved. Just one example- A partnership between Old Mutual and Netcare facility at the main OM building in Pinelands CT is processing 1000 per day. With corporates, medical schemes, pharmacies etc all opening new sites, I expect that we should soon get National vaccination rates exceeding 1m per week, and it’s quite possible to get to 5m per week.
The other good news is that trials on health care workers vaccinated in the initial round have shown that the J&J vaccine is as effective as was claimed, with very low % of those subsequently infected getting seriously ill. The simple message to all out there is to get vaccinated- it works!
The third wave is very serious, particularly in Gauteng and also in FS, NW and NC. EC, WC and KZN were very hard hit in wave 2, but so far wave 3 is at its early stages in those 3 key provinces.
The delta variant, however, which seems much more contagious, is the driver in Gauteng, and it is now spreading to WC so we need to be very vigilant.
Excess death rates are now running at 5000 per week, mostly driven by Gauteng.
The alcohol ban is a waste of time and money. Research shows that while it was initially effective in reducing hospital trauma cases and deaths in the first lockdown, subsequently it has proved ineffective. This is probably because it is now anticipated, with affluent consumers stocking up and illicit supply chains filling the gap.
A zero tolerance of driving under the influence, with a zero allowed rate for drivers, if properly enforced, would be a much better solution.

I know a few people who ensure that their car boots are always full !! :P And they don't charge long time friends...:cheer:

On a more serious note, things were really bad in Tongaat last night...my elderly parents and in-laws live there...thugs tried to make their way into Ballito and Salt Rock last night but police and private security kept them at bay...thugs moving into residential areas in Phoenix and Hillcrest...most North / South roads (R102, M4, N2) have some form of disruption so we are homebound and trying to be productive whilst concerned about people we know in areas under threat...

There is a distinct tribal / racist element to these protests...to make things uncomfortable for persons of Indian and European descent and target their businesses and private spaces for not being "woke"...going to take a resident shooting a thug and it may just give people cause to pause...
