Well first up if racing is a non contact sport then some one better tell musi. Secondly all these comments about government not giving a damn about racing don't really make sense to me. I'd have thought 1 bn from Oppenheimer's and 1 bn from rupert's would have definitely caught government's ear

Guys how do you interpret below from Cyrils speech:

Any place open to the public where cultural, sporting, entertainment, recreational, exhibitional, organisational or similar activities may take place will remain closed.

I think the NHA have to convince the government we are not a “Sporting event” and we are not a gathering of 50 or more”

Level 3 has been announced and no-one is the wiser as to whether we can race on 1 June or not. The spin and bs coming from out the NHA offices has been ridiculous, what the hell was that "we are top of the pile and are hoping to hear by close of business today" - that was 10 days ago.

What difference would there have been if the Racing Task team ( still unnamed...) had done nothing??? I say nothing because we would still be where we are today. The NHA have achieved nothing but falsely raise participants hopes.

The NHA needs to be replaced in the new racing environment. They are useless.

Having listened to the President's speech again, must say i don't think racing will be starting next week as most hoped.

If racing is not considered sport or recreational, what category does it fall under?

When the President uses the word "meeting", it's referring to a work meeting as in the office space, not a race meeting. Whilst these work related meetings can go ahead, no more than 50 people can attend.

This is my understanding.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Questions for Vee Moodley

Does the NHA have a restart plan ?
What plans are in place to assist/encourage punters to migrate to online betting?
Are all participants jockeys, trainers, grooms going to be COVID19 tested prior to the restart ?

Imagine a day at the races without the most important person - the barman :-)
