That was an amazing run from Authentic. He was slow out the gates and then had to use a lot of energy to get to the front but stayed there. The three widest gates finished in the top four.

Draw 18 less scratches in the dirt is not that easy.

Jeez how much of your life savings would you have had on Tiz The Law at the top of the straight. You don't often see a horse come back the way Authentic did.
I get the impression it was a weaker than usual race, though. Tiz the Law had a great trip and didn't find as much off the bridle. The rest of the field didn't land a blow.
