Kenilworth - Cape Derby Day
4 years 3 months ago
Race (1)
Based on times over the same distance on the same day, Danilo Danilovitch, ran 0.06 seconds slower and would have finished 0.31 lengths behind Ambiorix (7/10) carrying 3.0kgs more weight. Barzalona (4/1), also carrying 60.0 kgs would have finished 1.79 lengths behind Danilo Danilovitch. All things being equal, Danilo Danilovitch (33/10) must be the one to beat.
Race (2)
The key to the race is the fact that Fourie who rode Gimme Dat to victory on debut, has chosen to stick with Winter Mosaic. Despite being slow away by 2 lengths on debut, Gimme Dat won a tad cosily and if not outpaced in the early part of the race, should appreciate the extra furlong and should fetch the front runners late in the piece. Has the fastest 400 to finish time of the entire field.
Race (3)
If Bayberry stays the distance, he wins the race, that simple. The beauty being, none of the runners in the race have won over the distance. Draw a line through his last run.
Race (4)
Difficult race to be confident on anything, Capoeira should go close.
Race (5)
On a line of form to Captain’s Ransom, Zarina represents the value. She finished 4.06 lengths off Captain’s Ransom carrying 57.5 kgs, and Clouds Unfold finished 3.25 off Clouds Unfold carrying level weights. Despite being 3.5kgs out at the weights, just feel Zarina is open to any amount of improvement. At the current odds of 8/1, worth a punt.
Race (6)
At the weight turn-around and over the distance, Kasimir is the one to beat, despite how they priced up. Rio Querari is yet to win over the distance.
Race (7)
Kommetdieding, not much can be added.
Race (
These Sale's races can throw up some strange results, not a confident choice, Homely Girl.
Race (9)
Work Riders v Jockeys, jockeys will be embarrassed should one of them not win this. Going with Picture The Moment

Race 1 While I can’t fault your analysis, I would think that Ambiorix must have most scope for more improvement, so I think he must be the one to beat.
Race 4 I was impressed by Doublemint last run over a trip too short. He will be tough to beat.
Race 5 I think that Clouds Unfold is best this trip and she will go off to stud on a winning note.
Race 9 I agree that the jockeys are well treated only giving the WR 2.5kg, - To be fair,5kg is probably the right number, but that would have been difficult to implement as some of the WR are too heavy, and 62 is already a big top weight to shoulder.
The filly Queen Niyabah followed by Paper Trail look the best of the WR chances.

Is the horse sold?
Well done to those who took the ante-post price about The Gatekeeper, 16/1 I think.

Well done WSB!
The rivalry between WSB and Hollywood is good for the game
Does bettingworld still exist?
