Ultra Magnus, second in last year’s Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint, is on track to turn the tables on arch rival Warrior’s Rest when both were nominated for the Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint to be run at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday, June 5.
The meeting boasts a jackpot of four Gr1 Sprints in the province’s Capital.
The 28-horse entry has attracted most of the country’s best sprinters barring Rio Querari. Justin Snaith has elected to keep Rio Querari away from handicap company and will rely on stable stalwart Kasimir and Captain Tatters to carry the flag.
Also among the entries is MK’S Pride that has made a name for himself with some sterling efforts on the Highveld.
Recent course specialists Ishnana, (Listed) In Full Flight Stakes winner, and Spydas Corner are under sufferance in the current weights but could still make the field.
True To Life, third in the Gr1 Computaform Sprint behind Rio Querari, and winner of the Gr3 Tommy Hotspur Stakes, heads the list of nominations for the Gr1 SA Fillies Sprint.
Mike and Adam Azzie have nominated their smart filly Sheela for both the Gr1 Allan Robertson and the Gold Medallion.
