CHANGE OF HORSE’S NAME

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that the registered name of the following horse has been changed with immediate effect:

OH MY GOD IT'S ROY bay colt, sired by ACT OF WAR, out of the mare MAGIC POTION, foaled on 27 September 2018, bred by Summerhill Stud (Pty) Ltd, has been changed to that of OH MY WORD IT’S ROY.

The National Racing Bureau has been notified accordingly.

I agree with the name change horse racing is a sport and gambling is involved so I recon you don't mix religion with gambling. I saw this name and just shook my head well done in changing the name

Ja I get your point too Mossel and like you I agree. But gods don’t have to be religious gods. Horseracing itself can be a god to many on this site. (Oooooh Mac, what are you saying?)

Let's substitute Roy's word God with (say) Aphrodite, Thor, Athena, and the list is endless, who would be upset? Shows how tribalistic and fickle we are.
