In South Africa if this ban was implemented on a jockey he would have got emphaty and people would have a go at the authorities.

14 months is harsh but has offences prior including taking cocaine. Maybe the drastic ban will make him think going forward. Glad he won a Breeders Cup race. He also had a retainer with the Qatari big owner. That money will surely help in the next months.
