Gallop TV vs 4Racing240 end of May 2022

I will start by saying DSTV 240 is a far cry from the 249 Tellytrack in terms of number of races shown on a 24 hours basis.

Having said that the Streaming service does cover a lot more if u are willing to pay 299 a year for something that was for free until 4racing took over. so not much progress in that sense.

Add to this the 240 streaming service still excluded 2-4 days of a racing a week when u go look at their archives. Gold Circle not being included is a big own goal for racing SA. The 4racing Archive that is available is very good. It still bites me that i must pay 299 per year for something i get free from GC and many overseas jurisdictions.

As for the overall picture quality, for some reason GallopTV still have a better quality of picture.
As for continuity Gallop TV still has a better product if u willing to stream instead of only using Decoder.

I will add that i don't have any 3rd party decoders. So my experience may be diminished in terms of 240 offering.

One thing that is however undeniable i play more bets when watching Gallop TV than when i switch to 240 offering. Mainly because they have more content and make my experience more pleasant than the 240 setup.

Sure 4 racing Archives are free... Also think the gremlins are starting to runaway and the picture quality is better

RE Gallop, why not get the decoder and watch through your dish?

Al in all the quality is getting there (PE picture quality still lacking)

I'm content with watching the local racing on channel 240 using my Dstv decoder - always had one and the people in our household watch some of the other Dstv channels - if I want to check replays, I use Formgrids - so why should I spend money on another decoder just to watch the same local racing on Gallop ?

Yes sorry I was not clear - I can watch the KZN and Western Cape replays on Formgrids - not to sure if these originate from GC - and also not sure why they don't show the Gauteng replays ?

On the desktop site Formgrids seems to have rebranded it’s colour into purple. 🤷‍♂️

.....but still extremely pathetic.....as just this morning racing from Ozz 240 feed have a hot mike with people chatting over the commentary for the last 4 hours also picture keeps blanking out.....yet the GallopTV picture is clear clean and no double soundtrack....:dry:
