You are backing an 8 year old horse that is carded no.8 and hence drawn 8. The horse has had 8 runs at Scottsville in its career.

The horses trainer had 18 winners the entire 2021/22 season and in this season has won 1 of every 8 races he has had runners in.

The horses apprentice finished eight on last seasons apprentice log and had a grand total of 18 winners.

I hope that you're not superstitious because my money would be on this horse to finish a bit further back than 1st, no prizes for guessing where my money would be :whistle: :whistle: :whistle: :whistle:

Race 01) 5 ARBITRATOR is better than 3 SMITH AND WESSON on stats recorded and can exit the maidens in this weak looking bunch, jockey booking on 7 STANLEY PARK does not inspire confidence, 6 PARIS PIKE returns to the track after a 160 day let up and may need the run in all probability, if the first named doesn't fire then any of the newcomers have a chance, sticking with 5 ARBITRATOR for win purposes as getting backed like they know the results in advance and book makers are cornered.

Race 02) 8 FINE DESIGN though drifting in the betting market has got a very good chance in this line up, was very sluggish at the start on debut and picked up momentum very well later on and has a couple of runners held, if caught napping when the starter pulls the lever then the race is quite open as newcomers are getting lot of admirers.
