Greetings All.

Some high quality racing but a very difficult card ( mainly because layoff horses).
Having said that I fancy the following 2 horses ..iphiko (race 4) and twice as wild ( race 9)

Uk I like the following
Newmarket Race 1; Flying Honours
York Race 4 : Mr Wagyu and Dakota Gold.

Enjoy and Good Luck

Very tricky card - hard to tell who is more ready than the competition - also ratings for the 3yr-olds have not really been tested - so even the 2 Progress Plates one can't really go by the ratings - then the track seems to be changing - last week, quite a few won coming off the pace - so a lot of guesswork about the pace involved as well

R1: Sky Jet does look the right one, but at around Evens imo too short - I think Prime Example is going to make Sky Jet come and catch him - Libeccio is another who seems to be coming to hand and at double-figure odds can easily place; Atlantic City looks very moderate, but should again be thereabouts

R2: Nothing between White Fang and Arlington Action, the light weight may again assist giving AA the edge; Sudden Storm at 6s good chance here imo - however the stable did not really have a good day at the Vaal on Thursday - could be their runners have gone over the top  ; Capt Chorus back to his best trip and not without a chance either

R3: Iphiko has found form and won easily this track and trip last time, but meets stronger imo, so not a foregone conclusion; Taikonaut judging from the market support, is ready and will be a danger - may prefer 1200 and up though; Flowerbomb gets weight from the two principles and not to be ignored imo;; Rozara comes back after a break, so who knows - definite chance at best

R4: First of the Progress Plates for the females; Captain Peg still unbeaten, but the apprentice is a worry imo; Rock the Fox best in by far, but bigger fish to fry - may still be good enough even if not 100% tuned up; Orarari Gold very good last win and will be running at them; Moraine good Maiden win, but up in class - hard to judge  Most of them bar maybe Tried and True can win though

R5: Progress Plate for both sexes and the filly Bless My Stars gets weight from the males - very good form and even if still needing the run a bit, could be the right one - however if she fails anything can pop up

R6: Proper handicap where pace and tactics will prove decisive; looks hard to separate Elusive Swan, Fifth of July and Romeo's Magic; Fire Lord tries extra ground, but his rating still ok imo - so not to be ignored; any of those 4 ?

R7: Pinnacle Stakes - but not easy as quite a few comes back from a break; Outofthedarkness imo has the best credentials - ok draw, down a few points in the ratings and has had a pleasing come-back run in Sept; stable mate Astrix has been a revelation, but riding arrangements suggest that Outofthedarkness is more ready; also tough to split the Crawford coupling - Mxothwa has elected not to come up for the ride on Super Silvano, so it could be that Irish Tractor is the stable preference - to me though he has something to find on form - even from pole position; Perfect Witness best in on official ratings, but I think she needs more ground and I think her rating might be a little high - I'm taking a chance on Outofthedarkness - if that gets beat - most can pop up

R8: Magical Flight fair win last week and this does seem her best track and trip - obvious chance to repeat; Hollywoodbound has yet to win over further than 1400, but her run over track and trip in June does point to her getting 1600 as she matures - would be the first choice to provide backup to MF imo; Sister Light next best for me, but she is another coming off a 6-month break, so may be using this as a prep for bigger things, as would be the case for the de Kock runners - so MF probably the right one

R9: High Roller looks progressive, but has to give 1 kg to the older Twice as Wild - I think these two will dominate the race; Gilda Gray running thereabouts, so place chance again; I gave up last time on Lild Miss Sunshine, and she promptly ran her best race in a while - but even after being dropped another 3 points, she still is out at the weights - so place imo

Enjoy B)

3rd would probably have won the 2nd if the rider hadn't lost the whip
