Ain't nothing like the Real Thing.

Good morning all and we have witnessed some special performances over the last few weeks, both locally and Internationally.

When it comes to the Real Thing, I am sure we can agree that FLIGHTLINE was the real deal and it's always sad for the public to see these Champions go to stud early.

The money at stud is such a vast difference between trying to make big money on the racetracks.

With the passing of GALILEO where a fee of £500,000 was achieved.
Consider possibly 40 times was £20M per year.

We now have the new rates for the top stallions with DUBAWI coming in at £350.000 a pop.
FRANKEL has gone to £275.000
INTO MISCHIEF £185.000 and SEA THE STARS £158.000
New sire BAAEED going for £80.000
Back to FLIGHTLINE where you need $200.000 for your mare to be serviced.

This is the Real Thing as far as the breeding industry and why our heroes go to stud early.

We have the jumps from Cheltenham the next few days to give us an indication for the Festival.
Still much speculation and we have the King George on boxing day first.

Just an early word on the Champion Hurdle and the clash between the new star Constitution Hill and the current champ Honeysuckle.
If we consider 14/10 for the Hill and 4/1 for Rachael, you must take an ew on Honey now 😉

As far as the Gold Cup
Galopin Des Champs has only A Plus Tard to beat .

The jury is still out on the Champion Chase.

Local racing has also been great and the Summer Cup should be a thriller.
More details on the site.
How good is Charles Dickens for the Guineas?
The MET where Jet Dark looks great.

We also have the soccer World Cup and normally Brazil are the real thing same as All Black's at the Rugby.

Not sure if weather and politics will take the focus from the games but the group winners should be
A: DUTCH B: ENGLAND C ARGENTINA D FRANCE E either SPAIN or GERMANY? F BELGIUM G BRAZIL H PORTUGAL.

maybe an ATC ?

We have plenty hot topics on the site and will try and keep my political feelings on the Thoughts and Fears thread but I am currently furious about the current state of affairs. 🤬

Good Punting

34 to 31 for NZ but it was a nail biting to the end 👏

Great effort both teams
