.....could have won by further if over 1400-1600m.....decent size for a 1st foal....a good mating and should improve on this win....

Pascali's win was a very pleasant surprise as I thought that Garth had made a big mistake in nominating him for the 1200m and not the 1750m. Clearly he is much smarter than I am!
With the change in venue and the draw on top of it all, I really didn't fancy our chances.
With hindsight, the first timers were not a factor, and the field thus not great. Lazy Guy nearly won, and he is a professional 5yo maiden rated 69 having his 24th attempt.
Its very encouraging that he could win over this trip. He was clearly much less green, but I am still sure that he will be better over further.

On MR Captain Casey should win by a country mile.
23 MR points (11.5 lengths) better off with the one 2nd favorite Cherokee Trail.
25 MR points and the 3 year old allowance (so between 12 and 15 lengths) better off with Iron Will.And even more than that with Bend The Rules.

Unimpressive,MR too high?

......no problem Peter but no one can put me off.....I interjected on your thread only because I believed that Pascali being that well put together had a squeak even at 6furlongs.... and was only trying to steer you to be more positive.... ...But well done.... generally when horses get it all wrong and still win.... that makes them a bit more interesting, versatile....and worth following.... .
