R4, Jet Dynasty, the Maiden win, going through the 400 this horse was last with about eights lengths to make up. He was constantly nursed along and took off in the closing stages to get up and win. Gavin worked really hard to stay in the race, for me, think there is lots of improvement to come and should have no problems going the extra. Gavin can't make the weight, however J P is riding extremely well and a suitable replacement.Off 55.5kg wouldn't be surprised to see Jet Dynasty run them down especially if getting away on terms.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Interesting day's racing - let's hope the pools pick up - thoughts ...
R1: Does not seem to be a lot of confidence in the market about Pontiac - on his first run though I would think he would be tough to beat; first-timer from the Azzie yard - drawn towards the stand side so who knows
main danger imo is Fish Eagle - drawn along-side Pontiac down the inside
R2: Competitive Maiden - I think Bronze Sword is the one to beat; obvious chances to Wonder World and Positive Attititude - perhaps Quantifier can improve on his first local run
R3: Difficult to be positive about anything; Trompie makes his local debut, but 1100 may be a stretch; my first choice is Wind Water to run down Mover and Shaker, Raffles tries blinkers and a sprint so is a bit of a dark horse; only Miss Daisy is an unlikely winner though
R4: Very tough to predict; for me Battleground can make them run and does look fair value at the odds; Climate Control I think a dark horse, while African Torrent and Son of Raj look next best; obviously the more the better in the first leg of the P6
R5: Looks easier and should be fought out between Raratonga Rose and Ipso Facto, not sure that Littelmarysunshine is as effective over 2000; High Roller a dark horse if returning to best
R6: Pinnacle where Gimme a Shot looks thrown in; Outofthedarkness better 1400 and Whafeef is returning from a break - could be fighting out 2nd at best, while ExpressfromtheUS has been threatening and is my 2nd choice behind the favorite
R7: Senor Santa - set weights where imo there is too much discrepancy between Princess Calla and the rest; PC obvious chance, but both Big Burn and Bon Vivant look big dangers imo; Rollwiththepunches really impressive last time and must have a chance as well; several dark horses though like Thunderstruck, Prophet and even Eden Roc, who has been without a win for yonks, but is 6kgs better off with Big Burn for a 5 length beating - in which was ER's first run back from a break of 6 months
R8: Open Handicap; I liked Raiseahallelujah last week and he ran ok over a trip short of his best, today I think he will win at decent odds; main dangers Marchingontogether, and Zeus from Arumugam; Good Council could be a threat if he stays the trip
R9: Everything points to Namaqua Blossom - blinkers fitted as the stable probably feels that she does not finish off her races - if the blinkers work I think she should win; main danger imo Kind Judy who should hold Flying First Class at the weights
R10: Gav Lerena is riding Supreme Dance - has a great record with this horse, and looks a nice price
Enjoy
