I certainly rate Grant .... very good jock but this was shoddy and I am sure he regrets it but nonetheless, I firmly believe it cost connections the race....

I've always held him in high regard from the early days before "he made it" and went to Hong Kong where his shenanigans off the course cut his stay short. Now i find his riding very ordinary or casual as you put it.

I think you have described it in a nutshell with "casual"...

He's good but he's not completely professional...a bit too casual.
