Is 4QR (and its predecessor P) to SA racing what the ANC is to SA? Or false equivalence?

The tote should concentrate on exotics that offer value to the paying public. The current model is so badly compromised and necessitates a complete overhaul of the offering and a better understanding of what constitutes value and entertainment.

The thinking needs a lot of change and I am not convinced that some of the relics being moved around has the ability to make that visionary change that is required.

Although there are good operationally astute people with our operators I am not seeing the type of marketing acumen that will spearhead a racing revival. Too many that are married to a tired view and incapable of identifying opportunities or lacking the courage to use outside assistance and solutions.

Its a very big task to get racing back on track and unless its a concerted and unified approach will go only one way.

I am glad to see new ownership in the operator circles but that is the only new faces on display and without adding to the talent pool with new life the definition of madness comes to mind.

Yes exotics for the operator and fixed odds for the bookies is the answer but was informed it will never happen 😉

A punter needs to punt more races into the Tote Pools in order for them to maximise their take out.

The Bipot Quickmix and PA Quickmix, some legs always clash with each other. If you start with the Bipot Quickmix all the legs should finish and you must be able to cash your ticket and take the PA Quickmix or even the afternoon Jackpot Quickmix. This never happens.

The local Jackpots. Like on July Day, the first Jackpot always should be the first four races and then the last four. The numbering of the stalls to the number of the horse was done to get American punters. In America you always have an early Pick 4 and late Pick 4 and a Pick 4 Inbetween if possible. So why are we not following their structure to entice them....

If we do not increase the pools with the money from new punters then other life saving strategies will be doomed.

.....newer punters will battle to find the tote.....the very smart impressive HW branding will find them 1st... ..those tote okes can only try lure the long established punters back into the fold to stop the pools from dwindling further.....the current tote take outs are also a big killer.....and 4Q is going to have to get out the begging bowl as their revenue on turnover is under huge pressure should the pools go coastal.....:ohmy:
