Remembrance day, can you Imagine we forgot.

Good morning all as we enter another sporting weekend.
I am still trying to minimize my news channel viewing and focus on Brit Box and channel 240.
However as remembrance day approaches we should all spare a thought for the many who fought and died for us to enable the life we have today.
Imagine what the soldiers in those wars would think of the situation today with the war in Ukraine and Middle East. How will we remember these current wars..
We did not remember we forgot 😪
We've had some big sporting events over the last few weeks and although we might not reach the highs of the Rugby World Cup and Breeders Cup meeting, we still have many opportunities ahead.
On the local racing front we have our normal PE Friday meeting on Poly where it's safe to say Richard Fourie will have his winners.
Durbanville on Saturday where Princess Calla should have no problem winning again for the Tarry/Fourie combination and we look forward to following the Mario Ferreira star in the New Year.
The other star Mrs Geriatric is also on show for the same Tarry/Fourie combination but Winter Cloud ew is my preferred punt.
It's another double header with Scottsville Hollywood also giving you options.
Expect big exotics.
Sunday we are back at Turffontien and the track is looking good for the Summer Cup.
I see we had another media launch for the big event where the focus appears to be more on celebrities and fashion vs horse and punters.
At least the majority of the crowd will know what a swinger is 😉
The real bad news and potential crowd puller would have been the Dingaans clash between Main Defender and Sandringham Summit and this is now doubtful due to the poor draws.
The actual Summer Cup is very open and you will need plenty of runners in the exotics.
Now to cricket I'm not really a fan but I do enjoy a good curry 😉 and India look hot to lift the trophy at evens.
Good Punting 👍
All we are saying is give peace a chance 🙏

Sadly a day to forget.
Many marches, protests and clashes 😪
The horrendous stories continue to emerge from both sides.🙏
