Imo - on the Charity Mile form, not a lot to choose between Puerto Manzano, Cousin Casey, Bless My Stars, Winchester Mansion (all should be suited to 2000m) and Bingwa - not sure that Bingwa stays the trip but would be an upset inclusion in a bigger P6; so given the draws and jocks, of those I would think that Bless My Stars and Cousin Casey at 7s are the value
On the Victory Moon, 2 runners stand out at the weights allocated in the Summer Cup - I have been preaching Son of Raj, but because of firstly an outside gate and secondly a 'less fashionable' jock, he has been allowed to drift to 20s, which I still think is big value - especially the 3/1 for the first 4 places; the other runner who is well in is Billy Bowlegs (15/1) - should comfortably turn it around with Atticus Finch and Electric Gold, but is 3 kgs worse off with Son of Raj for a half-a-length beating - both should not have a problem with stepping up to 2000m
So for me the Top 6 would be (in no particular order) - Puerto Manzano, Cousin Casey, Bless My Stars, Winchester Mansion, Son of Raj and Billy Bowlegs
The rest seems held imo - maybe Safe Passage can bounce back to his best, but it may be indicative that JP is riding East Coast

So far coverage has been great! Build up to the all important draw and final field announcement + panel discussion. All quiet on the day, no 240 coverage or online coverage of this glamorous event, got to see some pics of a screen from an angle on social media of the "official announcement"
10/10 for pics posted of Victor Matfield and other celebs though! Pity not too much more from the live event or anything of actual interest or substance.
