Looks a decent card to build up a kitty for Champions Day on 6th April:
Race 1:
Tanneron - should win. (3-10)
Made an impressive debut in running close to Sahara Cat.
Richard Fourie commented after the race and said that Tanneron caught his eye in running and would follow.
Horses to make up quartet:
Wizz (66-1) - well bred, backed on debut when dislodged jockey. Decent place value.
Artiste (7-1)- Daughter of Dancers Daughter, would need ground but should be running on for a place.
Elizabeth Grace (20-1) & Be Merry (10-1) - Both well bred and will watch their runs closely.

Race 2:
Aladdins Lamp - my pick here. (5-2)
Nothing between Aladdins Lamp and Moonacres (16-10) on the previous run and they should be main contenders here.
Siding with Aladdins Lamp based on the thinking of him having more scope and will appreciate the extra 200m today.
Balance of places to be contested by Tom's Diner (6-1) and Lord Quinn (20-1)

Race 3:
Explosive Speed. (7-2)
My slight preference would Explosive Speed. Is consistent and could break his maiden today.
Main danger is the second favourite, Maneki Neko (5-2)
Would look at the favourite, Connery (2-1) and Kingsboy (12-1) to fill the minors.
Kingsboy is well bred and needed his last run, looking for an improved effort here.

Race 4:
Red Moon Rising (7-1)
Putting a line through her last run as was slow from a wide draw over a distance too short.
Better suited to this 1600m and has cracked a decent draw.
Think she will go close.
Other contenders worth mentioning:
Enchanting Choice, (3-1) consistent and will be running on with the favourite Philosophise (2-1)
The form of Hampstead Heath (9-2) was franked by win of Plum Pudding on Saturday. Could follow-up.
My roughie is Ilha Da Maurcia (20-1) as she needed her last run, ran a respectable race. Will be handy and could steal a place.

Majestic Warrior (4-1)
My pick here.
3rd run in CPT after his move from KZN.
Unlucky in running last time and think would be better suited to the 1600m.
Aberdeen (4-1) and Le Legionnaire (2-1) should give him cheek.

Luce Verde (16-10)
My next best bet on day after Tanneron in the first race.
Knocking on the door and will love the 2000m.
Should have the measure of them here.
If the door is left open then danger is Fly Futura (4-1)
Would then look at the Marshall coupling, Twice The Master (7-1) & Caranel Fudge (10-1) to fill the minors.

Race 7:
Open race.
Could be a line of runners contesting the finish.
Cloud Chaser (4-1) is my pick.
Dropped steadily in ratings and should be competitive here.
Decent draw and expecting a strong ride from Bernard Fayd'herbe.
Will be running at them at the end.
Veronique (5-1), Grandiosa (4-1) and Look Forward (4-1) all consistent and have cases here. Should all be in the finish.

Race 8:
Another open sprint race to end the day.
Kelp Forest (9-2) would be my pick.
Consistent, good draw and will be mowing them down at the end.
Dangers:
Winter Pearl (7-1) is on his peak run and didnt disgrace last time when caught in a pocket.
Boogiefied (5-1) has contested some strong races but gets found wanting toward the finish.
Dragonfly (33-1) expecting an improved run from him here and has had excuses previously. Include in everything.
Moya Wa Liga (16-1) has been disappointing since showing promise in KZN but could bounce back here and wouldn't be surprised if he is there at the end.
