Paul Matchett grooms lose their Christmas Bonuses,

TURFFONTEIN RACECOURSE, 12 OCTOBER 2024:RACE 6Trainer P F Matchett signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 73.2.3 in that he was the Trainer responsible for PRINCEOFGREEN when a specimen, which was collected from this horse prior to the running of the 6th race at the Turffontein Racecourse on 12 October 2024, disclosed upon analysis the presence of Flunixin (Class 4) which is a prohibited substance.A penalty of a fine of R105 000 was imposed. Furthermore, PRINCEOFGREEN has been disqualified from the above race.

RACE 10 : BETWAY MR 80 HANDICAP
Starter: G Timm Loading: 48 sec No. of Runners: 7

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) At approximately the 700m, GOLDEN CHANDELIER (J Penny) was steadied when awkwardly placed between the outside running rail and on the heels of CHIEFTAIN (G Lerena).
c) Jockey J Penny reported that GOLDEN CHANDELIER tired badly from the 400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d) Apprentice V Jodhee, the rider of GOLDEN CHANDELIER, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride.

So who is it??? Yes pendantic but these reports should be acccurate.
