Fancies for the day
R3, Tuscan Romance, whilst she has been costly to follow, think she will get it right tomorrow. Think she is drawn on the right side of the course and if racing handy again, should stay on and win. Market rival, Englefield Green, dawn towards the middle of the field, but has a tendency to lose lengths at the start and could be playing catch-up. If the track is running quick, Tuscan Romance could be on her bicycle and hard to peg back.
R4, with the scratching of Red Palace, not that I fancied it as the winner, before the scratching, think Saartjie is the one to beat on ratings. Is 2/2 course and distance, so if not suffering from the second run after the rest syndrome, should be in the winner’s enclosure.
R6, open looking contest with favourite Kaiboy having to concede weight to most. Having said that, been ultra-consistent since being gelded. Hoping the lower draw and a decent getaway by Kaiboy, does the trick.
R7, should be a two horse race. Favourite, One Stripe, has demonstrated his class and deserves to be top of the boards. Heather’s Boy, highly thought of by the yard and as to how good this individual is, only the race will tell.Suggest taking the treble and the quad by Dutching the two in the 7th race.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Thoughts .... First 2 races basically a guessing game
R3: Looks a 3-horse war - on form Engelfield Green the one to beat as it beat Hope Chest who beat the other two - times misleading though so any of the 3 could win imo
R4: Saartjie barring 2nd run-after-a-break looks home-and-hosed; imo opinion some strange jock arrangements from the Bass yard as I think Gold Poker Game should prove the main danger to S - and also is value (each-way at least) at that price
R5: Again looks pretty straight-forward - take a pick between Green Garnet and Landoftherisingsun
R6: More competitive; Kaiboy good last effort, but got pushed up 8 points, so perhaps War Chariot is the value at 10s - Handsome Prince also not to be ignored along with a few others like Dumbledore and Nordic Chief
R7: One Stripe the obvious one, but at the odds I fancy Great Plains; would be stupid to ignore the claims of de Kock and also Fourie's mount
R8: Probably the toughest race on the card; I do prefer Infrared, but perhaps Otto Luyken at the weights has a chance as well
R9: Safest would be to row in with Arctic Wizars and Paratrooper, but quite a few others can pop up
Enjoy

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.
Snaith thoughts on a competitive card:
_Race 1_
- ~Blown Away takes no part~
- She's My World is a smart sprinting filly who will win her races. She will be right in the shakeup on debut with the weight advantage.
- Yamazaki shows plenty of speed back home but could be one or two runs away from a win. Upset potential so include.
- Captain John Snow was a spectacular yearling and has been backed off the boards. He’ll take a lot of beating.
_Race 2_
- Lady Blunt is expected to be inexperienced and green on debut. She’ll take a run or two before she finds her feet.
- Music Of The Night has shown ability back home and will run a competitive race on debut.
- Wild Wild Green is precocious and will go close on debut.
_Race 3_
- Flypast is just having another prep. Follow over ground.
- From a Distance has been unlucky not to win yet. She’s the one to beat.
_Race 4_
- Knockout is improving over a trip and could cause an upset.
- Saartjie will take some beating in an average field.
_Race 5_
- Arbitration has improved with gelding. Include in pick 6.
- Crowned Hornbill tries a trip but will need to show improvement.
- *Landoftherisingsun* is well overdue and will relish the long run-in on the Summer course. Banker!
_Race 6_
- Handsome Prince is fitted with blinkers and is back to his best. Utmost respect.
- War Chariot is well-weighted and good value at 8-1 so don’t leave him out any bets.
_Race 7_
- Eight On Eighteen is better than his last start suggests which was a prep. He should give One Stripe something to think about.
- Great Plains is very versatile and could pop up in a hotly contested Gr1. He seldom runs a bad race and it would be unwise not to include him in all exotics.
- Sail The Seas has it all to do at the weights and from a wide gate. He is however unexposed and highly capable. Don’t be surprised to see him deliver a top effort at 33-1.
- One Stripe is a worthy favourite and the horse we all have to beat.
_Race 8_
- Future Swing has his third run after a rest and will deliver a top effort. He’s better over further but his class may carry him through. Consider in all permutations.
- Mucho Dinero is just having a prep run after a long break. He’ll need a run or two before we see him return to form.
- Rockpool is flying back home and will run his best race in ages.
- *Triple Time* has had a perfect prep for this race. Huge runner and is one to watch this summer!
_Race 9_
- Please Be True returns from gelding and a holiday. This is a prep over the sprint trip but he has some class. Include in all bets.
- Tough Terrain is always dangerous if he decides to put his best foot forward. Upset potential so throw into exotics.
