Formgrids only displays the jockeys last 1800 rides. in this Jockeys case it goes back to the 9 June 2022

in this time he rode 141 winners in SA

What stood out for me is the number of horses that finish 99.99 lengths behind.

32 in total but 9 in the current season and 5 in 2025 so far.

He must be the most unlucky jockey in SA. Seems to ride a lot of walking wounded horses.

Zackey 5 for current season
Yeni 2 for current season
Lerena 0 for season
Maujean 6 for the season
Veale 2 for season
Fourie 1 for season
Venniker 4 for season
Kabelo 6 for season

With all the injured jockeys in this season, is this type of info being used to try improve Jockey safety.

Try horses that finish over 20l behind and and start 6/1 or less, that will give you a real picture. Bet it's the worst in the world for SA?

Setting up for the betting coups? Trainers used to do it often, not so much lately!

Maybe he's actually looking after a horse which doesn't feel right in the race.
Why persevere when a horse is going nowhere fast.
