Yeni didn't move on his horse and thought he was going to win without using his stick.
Sorry but in a GR 2 race when you hit the front put the race to bed and ride your horse out to the line instead of trying to be a smart arse.

Let me add my 2 cents ....the de Kock filly had the draw, while the moral victor was VJ - came from almost last from a bad draw; also QPQ moved up like a winner but ran out of steam (so perhaps better shorter) - the race by Greaterix showed that the MR rating of QPQ was correct - as for Greaterix, I think he does not stay a tough 1600 - certainly opens up the Classic as well as the FIllies Classic ....

I will start by saying i am surprised 5 people caught Pick six. I may have found Luckys horse but not the Laird horse.
Anyways
Spies winner won well on debut. Well related could win some of the graded 2 years old races later on.
Main Defender. did his connections proud. Big weight. Horse Chestnut next they said after race
Fillies race sad that Quid pro quo did not win last start in SA. but the winner, 2nd and 4th all look very good. Winner go up from MR 89 to MR 120??
Males race Alec Laird has a good bunch of 3 year olds. MDK comments will be intersting.
Owner PJ Moor hot streak continued with Mercantour
Last race Top seed probably the disapointment of the day.
MDK yard look recharged and ready to take on the world. Great for SA racing.
Ryan Munger also had a great day.

Just because there were 5 tickets does not mean 5 individuals as there could have been several % players making up 1-2 tickets and possibly 1 oke with 2 tickets as this was catchible if one was not banker blind....

....been following this 4eva and imvho it was the down in trip that did it more than a colour change....this is not an out and out sprinter and needs a build up and thus has been run around the bend which has not helped as he seems to flatten out in the finish....

.....the way to play to beat the goodies is to use the scratchings in case they arrive and double up if they do to get some return on a bigger perm.....opened with 3 fav+scr+kicker... then 8 horses added a few longshots based on ped.....3 horses fav+scr+well bred kicker....then 3 again fav+scr+kicker.....3 again fav+scr+kicker.....4 horses inc scr.....5% for R130
......went out because Yeni was "smutsing"(showing off) on Greaterix and thought he had plenty in hand and was too late to respond to a challenge....if I am correct you will not see him throw a leg over another MmDK horse again....although 1 leg out my 5% became 20.....and only backed Mercantour to get my investment back.....whew

Stipes report is going to be interesting. Wonder what's the penalty for not securing the best possible position in a graded race.

......many claim that Yeni did no wrong......but if you want a jock to give a horse a softer ride then Muzi is not the man ....as he gets a better tune by being more vigorous.....if his instructions were to give a quieter ride.... then he did no wrong and then MmDK should use him again as then he was not to blame......only time ought to tell

That's true, time will tell.
It looked like he knew he had the fitter horse, and 2.25 lengths on Diego from their last meeting, and when he went passed him under the hands, the last thing he ever expected was for Diego to come back at him, being the pace setter as well. I feel for the big P6's or multiples that became unstuck because of this one.

Simple.... he thought he had it IN THE BAG....... cruised past hands & heels only..... not even a hint of a stick...... UNTIL PARISIAN come fighting back...... only THEN did he pull out the stick & try to get going again.... TOO LITTLE - TOOOO LATE I'M AFRAID.
Wat's the saying - YOU SNOOZE U LOOZE.......... no doubt about that. I wonder if de Kock will use him any time soon.
also want to know was the stipes REPORT SAYS...... riding out to the finnish ?????????
I remember Striker got time fir putting HIS HANDS DOWN - BEFORE THE POST - this wasnt quite the same'but he thought he was in CRUISE MODE !!!!! & would tamely go on by - BUT NOT O BE.
YES I am talking out of my pocket cause I stood to collect a shit load of money..... not to mention HUNDREDS OF P6 punters whose tickets went to DA BIN.
