Considering he won by a pubic hair and he hits his horse maybe 5 to 7 times over the last 100m(I think he strikes 5 times over the 12) would he still have won had he not cheated? Sean Veale undoubtedly the most underrated jockey in South Africa. Really pleased he's starting to get the recognition he deserves. Always puts horses in a winning position and seldom makes mistakes ! Great character and family man as well...

The comments on race 5 made me go watch the replay. I tried to count how many times he hit/tapped/nudged or whipped the horse..I am assuming around 15 times. (MAYBE) but in saying this I also had a look at the favorite and how the jock was supposedly tapping/nudgedor whipped his mount.

What I want to share as a punter or a race horse owner..I would prefer how Sean rode his mount. Tried all the way to the line.

This rule of smacking a horse x amount of times is actually sour and stale and the fines are fast becoming a joke.
