GREYVILLE NIGHT MEETING 28 FEB 2025 ABANDONED
3 months 2 weeks ago
KZN has experienced unprecedented rainfall in recent days, with Hollywoodbets Greyville receiving over 100mm overnight, bringing the total rainfall for February to 301mm. As of this morning, penetrometer readings in certain areas of the track were as high as 38. Given the current overcast conditions, the likelihood of the track drying sufficiently for Friday night’s race meeting is minimal. Consequently, Gold Circle has made an early decision to abandon the event.

Theres only one certainty in kzn racing, schedule a greyville night race meeting and it will either rain cats and dogs or there'll be a power outage /loadshedding.

Can someone explain how the cricket ground staff and the golf course staff managed to get there respective pitches/course ready for a cricket match and the start of day one of the sa open ready for play in durban but kzn racing cancels there meeting 2 days in advance , shows the level of commitment towards kzn racing , absolute disgrace and all should hang there heads in shame

.....may not only canceled because of the rain alone.....that work on the new poly may now be impacting/encroaching on the turf surface .....as that Michelle Wing production showing and explaining that operation has been canned/postponed so that they buy some time to try catch up....

Hi All
was supposed to be the exciting return to saddle of one A Fortune.
He rode with some of the best jocks in SA(including some trainers he's riding for on Sunday)
my opinion,a better jockey than trainer.
I perused the fields and got excited at two prospects
After today's weather infringement cancellation, does anyone own a digital crystal ball to predict Sundays Scottsville meeting?Better a straight course to rekindle his passion.
The first is gift to match his riding style.Pls go view the colts last run.
then I had a looked at the owners involved, more excitement,a current jockey agent is also in the partnership!!!
A year ago AF coached AD to end with a victory on the CBass Cape champ.
Tomorrow at Turffontein ,AD will spring a surprise with a win or two in the exotics.
enjoy
