Looked dangerous or at the very least very uneven.

Especially with the younger horses that want to jump the sand

....possibly some of the crap from the poly has been purposely spread on the turf....not uncommon for silica/sand to be worked into turf to improve surface drainage....but this still has a bit of wax and other muck that could be sticking to hooves and can only settle/melt off once hotter weather breaks it down...unsure

......oops...nope that kick back looks very dry and seems to be virgin silica that may have initially been for the poly but now doing the job to try keep the turf drier...should settle with the next rain shower.....could not help notice that liquid gloop in the white ICB's stored on the tarmac car park in front of the track....might be the magic gel...to finalize Frankie.....wink

It appears to be affecting some horses imo. I also don't see any distance markers...

.....a work in progress....markers temporally removed as they are obstructing work on poly....also temporary camera placement stands on the inside rail.....these guys are moving heaven and synthetic earth to see that these meetings can still happen while trying to finish Frankie....
