Not sure why riding out to the line seems to be ignored recently...every horse should be ridden out unless it's injured ...that's how the form book becomes dirty....but if an appie does this he's boiled....a few years ago this was something enforced now it's salutes and whip strokes....riding to the line and dangerous riding should be the most important aspect of stewardship...overlaying previous rides from jockeys should be standard...how often do you see a jock ride one race like a man possessed and then the next like a man depressed....I'm sick of it

Slowest 100 to finish time of the entire field.
300 to finish also very slow.
Maybe just a tired horse

3rd placed horse fastest 400 tin finish.

.....tired horse and did not quicken with the six odd smacks while in 3rd place then jock puts the stick away and tries to encourage with hands and elbows but stride rapidly shortening and falls over the line.....horse never traveled well throughout and no restraint was required....the larger nose band seemed to somewhat impede action as the horse head carriage was very high as horse appeared to be trying to look over the top....but hey what do we know about headgear other than trial and error....huh

.....a smaller better fitting nose band just did the trick....those that do not do.....but can teach.....
you're welcome....wink
