Could have made it a bit less obvious that they didn't want to run a place.

Not a bad idea for the stipes to watch big betting drifts on Favs that slip badly - if there is a massive drift call the Vet and ask him just to take a quick look - I'd rather a drifting hottie gets scratched than punters lose their money on a dubious starter (I'm not implying this happened today as I did not watch the race nor did I have a wager here)
