One of my favorite races of all time. Nostalgia

The print media played up the Rain Forest/Smackaroo challenge to Wolf Power over the 1400meters.

And being a Mrs Heming follower I was always hopeful. but Wolf Power smooshed them.

Do you remember a horse called Rule by the Sword(33/1) beating Breyani on the line .All my tickets got smashed with Breyani that day.

 

My favorite race horse ... if I not mistaken Flirting Around x Pandora's Box? {looks around for Mhuti to confirm}

Took a liking to this horse after being on course, went on to win the July next start :-

.....what year was this race as I can't recall being around but recall wins at Gosforth park....huh
 

......don't believe that Wolf Power ever ran in the Holiday Inns so initially this race and caption had me flummoxed....also those in the placings seemed odd to me..... trying to find records before internet not that easy.....I think that this race is actually the Holiday Inns Trial over 1400m that was run in April 1982.....also had he won that graded race it would have been recorded in his bio.....

u right was the holiday inns trial over 1400 meters.
