Scotia on the Sound of Silence π
2 days 12 hours ago - 2 days 12 hours ago
Good Morning, Clan
Weβll all be hoping for a far more positive weekend for South African sport, after Ellis Park and the Dricus fight both ended in a Sound of Silence.
Last weekend, the 17-point handicap start for the Aussies landed nicely β but this weekend feels more of a tricky puzzle.
The World Champions are once again heavy favourites to win comfortably. Still, I feel there could be value in SA Half-Time / Australia Full-Time at 16/1, sticking with the trend of the Boks starting fast and the Wallabies finishing strong πͺ.
Another angle worth considering: Australia/Australia at 11/2, if they come out firing as they did at the end of last weekβs clash.
Football β The Premier League is Back
Man City to beat Spurs
Arsenal to beat Leeds
The big one: Newcastle to beat Liverpool, with some transfer tension adding extra spice to the encounter.
Politics & Noise
The outcome of the PutinβTrump exchange was a real shocker β effectively another Sound of Silence, with Ukraine left lacking the expected support πΊπ¦.
Racing Highlights
Port Elizabeth (Today): Desert Cloud has the right trainer, jockey and owner combination to make amends for last time.
Turffontein (Saturday): Expect Craig Zackey to get punters off to a flying start.
Summer Cup β Betway: Should be a fantastic dayβs racing. Keep an eye on the forum for updates.
York Ebor Meeting: Daily updates have been superb β plenty of top-class action still to enjoy.
Good Punting π
And to round things off, a classic song... originally band name Tom and Gerry π΅
π Simon & Garfunkel β The Sound of Silence
