TAB MEDIA RELEASE
SUBJECT: New soccer bet
DATE: Thursday 4 December
RELEASED BY: TAB
TAB’s exciting new soccer bet, the Soccer 4, launches tomorrow (Friday 5 December) with the first pool comprising front line matches in South Africa, the UK, Italy and Spain.
Soccer 4 is from the same stable as Soccer 6, which has made the world’s most popular game more enjoyable for tens of thousands of people. Soccer 6’s popularity is continuing to grow with Saturday pools on the PSL and UK Premiership often grossing more than R1.5 million apiece.
But for the thousands of sharpshooters out there, TAB is launching a second soccer bet to test their knowledge of soccer to the limit.
The new bet is Soccer 4. It’s just like Soccer 6, but with two big differences – only 4 matches (not 6) and 6 options to choose from per match (not 3). Soccer 4 is a real test of soccer fans’ football knowledge and this is how it works.
To win, the results of 4 matches must be correctly forecast – M1, M2, M3, M4 – and there are 6 options per match:
1 = Team A win by 1 goal (1-0; 3-2 etc)
2 = Team A win by 2 goals of more (2-0; 4-1 etc)
3 = No-score draw (0-0 only)
4 = Score draw (1-1; 2-2 etc)
5 = Team B win by 1 goal
6 = Team B win by 2 goals or more
The cost of the bet and all the other rules are the same as Soccer 6. A single entry (one choice per match) costs R6 and the cost of a multiple entry is R6 per combination. The result is the score at the end of normal play, including extra time if played. Penalty shootouts do not count.
The cost of a multiple or permutation entry is calculated in the same way as Soccer 6. Simply total the number of selections in each of the four matches and multiply them out. Then multiply that total by six to get the total cost in rands.
For example, if there are two selections in three of the four matches and one in the other the cost is R48 (2 x 2 x 2 x 1 = 8 x 6 = R48).
Betting on this weekend’s Soccer 4 opens this Friday and will close at 5pm on Saturday. The matches are Blackburn/Liverpool, Pirates/Ajax, AC Milan/Catania and Real Madrid/Sevilla.
Soccer 4 is another great soccer bet from TAB. Keep playing Soccer 6, but if you fancy an exciting challenge give Soccer 4 a chance on the pitch as well. More information at

Yippee another totally useless unrelated horse racing venture by P.
My thought get 20 Million dollars from Mark Shuttleworth and send P,s marketing manager to the ISS for a year so that he has a view of the real world when he returns. Or just forget to fetch him.
