Brent's weekend.
16 years 6 months ago
Hi Everyone,
After the excitement of last weeks Nedbank Challenge (by the way Justin well done on winning the mini league) I am going to scale back a little this weekend as there is no sense handing back large chunks of profit back to the bookmakers (if you missed it check out my betting blog – it was my best week of the year by some way).
There is a wide array of soccer games to bet on but I already have one eye on next weeks cricket and will be doing plenty of research over the weekend so look out for my previews on www.sportingweb.co.za early next week.
Back to matters at hand and I fancy that both Chiefs and Sundowns will bag all 3 points in the PSL on Sunday although I am a little concerned with the Brazilians current form. They are both deep in the red but the multiple works out at a best price of 1.46/1 with Sportsbet and that looks worthy of a punt.
BEST BET
4 units Chiefs/Sundowns to win at 1.46/1 with Sportsbet
On the value front and I like goals at Liverpool and will be taking a nibble at a couple of scorelines. The value for me though is the 5/1 “any unquoted score” at Swbet in the “Correct Score” market and that means I need Liverpool or Hull to score more than 3 goals. It is 3/1 elsewhere so worth a unit me thinks.
VALUE BET
1 unit “any unquoted score” Liverpool v Hull at 5/1 with Swbet
All of the soccer previews including my look at the Telkom Knock Out Cup are on www.sportingweb.co.za and while you are there check out Chris Sturdy’s weekly column in which he has a real go at the commentator in the Sunderland Man United clash.
Tomorrow’s radio show will see Garth and I catch up with David Greet from Hollywood Sports Book (07h30-08h00 channel 169 DSTV Audio or 1485AM Radio Today) and we will both be on Neil’s Betting World show after the last race later today (ch 232)
Have a good one and for those travelling drive carefully.
