How's The GC investigation going?

Is it just me, or is the silence deafening?

The saga so far as I know is:
new duo chairman wonder what's happened to 8 mil or so
and on not getting the required explanations they remove the top two day-to-day guys
to institute a independent audit
and all this managed without pointing fingers (they say).

Then another director bolts, declaring his reasons as private.

It's an utter shame that there is no 'independent' press to ask those pointed and aggravating questions for us. All we have for breaking news is freeracer ( freeracer.co.za/CurrentAffairs/CurrentAf...mID/853/Default.aspx )
and their attention span doesn't hold long enough to do a follow up,
or a passing reference by Molly in the Bday ( www.businessday.co.za/Articles/TarkArticle.aspx?ID=3500912 ) where he quotes freeracer.

What a pity that in the absence of anyone to question them, that Gold Circle cannot lower itself to even try and maintain a look of having some transparency. Not surprising from the "we don't talk the press" crew, which is now beginning to make sense.
Must be lovely to have the time and space do what you like under a complete blanket of secrecy, but as a good friend once pointed out: one get's the government one deserves!

It's reasonable to say we are in the midst of a scandal...not that anyone would know. This is the greatest feat of damage control I have ever seen, I take my hat off to them.

If they found guilty I hope they lock them up and throw away the keys.

has there been any coverage of this in the daily newspapers..i notice on last nights laff and goodman show not a word mentioned by them about it...how we betting boys ...what price zero comes from it

Don't believe for a minute that zero will emerge.
"deep throat" tells me it is definately "curtains" for somebody.
