Quite correct. He was a good horse, though not a superstar. If memory serves he was trained by Mike Azzie's dad, Herb. Apologies if I've got it wrong!

On the subject of naming horses, the absolute pits is when you use that special name you have been saving and then the effing beast goes and dies without seeing a racecourse. You have to wait years before you can try it again.

It's happened to me twice in the past few months....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

Won SA Guineas and Sigma Classic at 3, in 1982. Second in SA Invitation in 1981.
Not good enough for name to be protected, I'd say.
