What happens to the 2400m race? The lights only extend to the 2000m.

If this weather doesn't improve soon it will be slop again on Tuesday. Hopefully it buggers off and we get two dry days.

This is bound to read as self-serving, but in some racing venues, when a meeting is postponed, the post positions are re-drawn.
Since other changes have been put into effect, such as changing distances of races and allowing a scratched horse to run, I think it appropriate the the post positions be drawn anew.
My filly On Her Toes needs a bit of help to win this race, because on form there are at least two fillies that she does not figure to beat. She is drawn 11. A better post would help her out.
What is the rule or the policy on this, does anybody know?

It never happens unless a race is reopened for entries and so becomes a totally new race.

In view of the fact that the track at the Greyville racecourse is continuing to dry out, further penetrometer readings will be taken at 14:30 today. It is anticipated that the track condition will then change to good. A further announcement is to follow.

Well it would appear that the track is drying out after the weekend and scotia trying to do the same!
Moon World is 14/10 firm fav
Her Excellency and Hard Talk are 28/10 joint, but looking at Interbet, Hard Talk could start fav.
Mother Russia and Sparkling Gem should be a cracker 5/2 and 28/10.
Big City Life another good runner on the card.
please post your fancies.
good punting!
