Just to inform the Clan, that Nicola took a tumble yesterday at the big T, fortunately not too serious, some bruising of the lower back. According to Elvis, she will be off for around 10 days; all the best to the Welch household

This fall has changed my views on wanting my daughter to grow up to be a jockey. Scarey stuff!

Thanks to all the clan for the well wishes for Nicci. Thank God, she had no broken bones & the like. Nicci is at home recovering & thankfully after a complete set of x rays was done, she was able to walk out of the hospital yesterday on her own two feet - unaided. Certainly a harrowing experience for the family & boyfriend - but most of all for Nicci.

It's at times like this that we only appreciate what a dangerous sport / occupation this is.
