or better yet... if you going and have a camera, take pics/videos and post them an you tube for us living in the highveld and in the office.
Are there times laid out for horses or does the horse jockey come out when they feel like it and run???? cause maybe i can duck for 20 minutes and go see a particular gallop....

POCKET POWER, 2-1 favourite with most local layers to win the Durban July for the second year running on Saturday week, impressed in a public work-out on Thursday.
Ridden by big-race jockey Bernard Fayd'herbe, South Africa's dual horse of the year looked a picture.
He followed stable companion Nevvay until the final turn of the 7f workout where he moved up alongside effortlessly. He was eased before the line because Fayd'herbe did not want him to have to cross the road which runs across the course.
All 20 runners were meant to work on the Greyville course - it is a condition of entry for South Africa's biggest race - but Mike de Kock's South African Derby winner Bouquet-Garni was an absentee as he refused to go into the horsebox.
Kapil also did not work although he was paraded on the course.
He jarred himself when a fast-finishing second to Pocket Power in the Gold Challenge 12 days earlier and trainer Stan Elley did not want to risk him. But the 7-1 chance is in full work on the dirt and has been heavily backed following the Gold Challenge.
River Jetez, Pocket Power's sister and 9-2 second favourite, easily drew away from stable companion Consensual in the final furlong and a half of her gallop.
She will be 9lb better with Pocket Power for the two lengths she finished behind her stable companion when third in the Gold Challenge and many observers expect her to topple the favourite.
Greg Cheyne gave Big City Life (11-2) a massive vote of confidence after partnering the Glen Kotzen-trained Cape Derby winner in a solo spin over the same 7f.
He said: "He's a fantastic horse and I believe I can win. I've got a lot in my favour including the draw.
"He was drawn ten when he won both the KRA Guineas and the Daily News on this course. He has again been drawn ten in the July."

To be fair, I watch the gallops and have no idea what to comment, they all look good to me, but will stick to Kapil to dead heat with PP and Thandolwami 3rd.

Punters dont fall in to the gullible trap. This is just to create hype - and honestly i think its a great idea, but please - you're never going to establish anything from these gallops. Best example is Pocket Power - Hibernia writes" he impressed at public gallops". Well if watching a horse barely canter for 1400m is impressive I may have to stand corrected.
Personally though - i enjoyed waking up early to go and watch - it raises the excitement levels for the big day with out doubt.
