I watched Mel Pillay's ride in the 12th race at Greyville on Saturday evening and she destroyed whatever chance she had created on Jungle Call by becoming totally unbalanced in the last two hundred meters- probably the reason she is the world's longest serving 4 claimer.

Nicky's ride on Kariba however was superb - even though I had a better result in my P6 on the second horse. As good as young Vicky Minnot in Cape Town I think.

Problem is most trainers don't seem to like female appies - with one or two exceptions...

Well done Nicci managed to watch her ride in the first race and thought she rode well to be placed,after not a lot of help from her mount..
