Vaal Race course...why dont the trainers buy the racetrack

Surely, the current Vaal trainers together with a BEE partner (trainers) can buy the Vaal Race track.
The IDC will finance the venture...
then they can list the venture on the JSE or ALTX..
sure Greg will help them..and himself..
owners, punters, trainers and jockeys can be shareholders..
Phumelela can rent the track on race days..
opens the market up for a second tote operator..to rent the facilities..
property development in and around the track..
hotel...casino..
mauritius have 2 tote operators and only a population of 1,2m...

This suggestion of mine has fallen on deaf ears all these years!
Suppose changing circumstances (and the uneasiness, disquiet, etc) that goes with it, will perhaps make the aggrieved parties to realise; give way, compromise, resolve, mobilise and full steam ahead!

Umlilo,

the sums add up..
when the sums add up, the clever business men will strike..
The VAAL race track will become the major race track in GAUTENG...

TURFONTEIN has been relocated to LAGOS.
no matter how much money is spend on TURFONTEIN, it will go the same route as the ORT (airport)....the Nigerians have taken over the security..the show..pure numbers...numbers..numbers..

RANDJESFONTEIN...trafic cannot cope..
Town council will not give permission..
And the trafic is getting worse..

agree; who will bell the cat?

Get things going?

Inter alia, Identify BEE partner/s, moblise punters, grooms, trainers, owners, breeders, lobby politicians/govt departments, business plan (IDC or National Empowerment Fund, etc), negotiate (for Vaal or alternative venue), set up network (betting outlets), etc

I am tired!

Slightly of topic, why don`t they run 2 meetings a day every day, surely there is enough horses in training?

How come they can`t have a meeting at Vaal/clairwood on a tuesday or Flamingo/kennilworth on a monday?

Will take away for the need to show obscure meetings..

would have made more sense to have sold property on the inside of the track, and shopping complex on the parking area, with basement parking and rooftop parking as part of the shopping area.
it goes for Bloem, Gosforthpark,Newmarket, Vaal, Turfontein and Ranjesfontein

cannot understand why they dont get a guy like Greg Blank to put a plan together, IPO and then list......he does not have to stay on...he would not be able to make the 7am meetings...

it seems that there are no businessmen left in Phumelela..
only salaried employees...waiting for pension...
or should I rather say..
there were never any businessmen in the Phumelela structure....
and with the BEE action we have more scooping off the gravy train..
as Vavi said..Graft will sink RSA...

or more accurately....GRAFT has SUNK RSA..

Wake up..
common sense tells anyone...the sums add up..
get Greg..you dont have to ...like him..he is going to fullfill a function..
a function that will save your jobs...
where are the shareholders...
and besides..he is beter at IPO's than punting...or racing..R5/kg..zoo..

ps.. a few years back the building where GOBA and bookmakers are located in Bedfordview came on auction..went for R1,2m...????
GOBA could have bought the building cash..refinanced the building and paid the bond with the rent..which must be 4 times the bond repayment...
yep..it's like st gray said..send a boy to do a man's job...

seems that there are no businessmen in the racing industry...????
