BIG MAVERICK is an interesting runner as was supposidly disqualified from last win in Raffles Cup.....had some special muti for supper before the race.

Yip.....11h55 SA time....trainer says he is the best he has had him since being in Singapore and Barend been told to ride him "stone cold" this time....

Agree good 3rd, running 4 wide most of the way and ran on well, must have been a good $$$$$$ stake cheque, nothing wrong

Yip....think barend has riden better races in his life.DL is a very difficult ride though....takes no interest early on and leaves it all to do in the straight...
