Spoke to Dylan earlier, Ritz Carlton a definite runner. Put a line through Saturday night's effort, starting gate smacked him on the head when he jumped, was never in it after that.

Send that gate to the zoo, R5 a kg, before the Marble Arch boys get hold of it. Lol.

JACK MILNER - FOURTEEN scratchings have somewhat decimated the 10-race Scottsville card on Wednesday with many strongly fancied runners getting withdrawn.
Finding a top bet on the day is not easy but anyone looking to reduce the size of their Pick 6 and Place Accumulator perms could perhaps bank on Makulu-Kulu to win Race 9, a Maiden Plate over 1400m.
The Labeeb colt has run three times for a third, a second and a close-up fourth but has not been an easy ride. He proved a handful for apprentice "JP" van der Merwe in his first two outings and was still very green in the hands of more-experienced apprentice Aldo Domeyer in his next start, which was over 1900m at Greyville.
Domeyer gets a second attempt to guide Mike Miller’s runner home and this time Makulu-Kulu will sport blinkers. He returns to 1400m for his first race at Scottsville.
Irish jockey Paul Cosgrave is in town for a busman’s holiday and will be aboard Liberty Eagle for Dylan Cunha. The son of Caesour went down a short head to Orbison in his debut and Herman Brown’s charge ran out an easy winner last Sunday.
Liberty Eagle then tried the Vaal sand but failed dismally before running a five-length fifth to Ask The Afghan in the wet at Scottsville. He drifted from 18-10 to 3-1 on that occasion and it was reported that he took no interest.
There could be some improvement forthcoming from Liberty Eagle who, along with Denis Drier’s Rahkee, looks the main danger to Makulu-Kulu.
Rahkee has only placed once in five outings but he has never been far off the winner and could be a contender in this field.
