Scotia on the Met and Forum postings
15 years 4 months agoGood morning to you all especially you lucky punters down in Cape Town this weekend.
I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing history being made, with the exception of the bookies?
Robert Bloomberg makes the Pocket Rocket a good thing at around 2/1, but I would also add the Laird horses in the exotics just in case we have a party pooper.
My bet for the weekend will be on a lesser stage in the form of Slumdog Oscar, I may only own the tail but the horse has given me a new enthusiasm for the game after its maiden win and the training approach from Mitch Wiese. Its never easing coming out the maidens, but at around 7/1 and better than evens for the first four places with fixed odds bookies a decent e.w. should not go a miss.
Slumdog runs at Arlington Friday
The big news this week has been the announcement from Phumelela that the CEO, David Attenborough is taking up a new post in Australia and I wish David all the best with his new venture and its still remains my intention to resolve the outstanding issues between ABC and Phumelela with regards Tote banners before his departure.
On the subject of banners glad to report we now have a link on the Team Valor website and will soon be tying in with a soccer forum to give us more content leading up to the World Cup and one of the burning questions on the Forum "are we ripping off the visitors with inflated flights and accomodation" will the short term greed damage the long term potential for tourism?
We have had a rather interesting week on ABC and would like you to consider the following:
I am sure you all enjoy africanbettingclan and its our pleasure to supply you a website to post your views 24/7 with a minimum of moderation.
You may have guessed that we have had a bit of a torrid time behind the scenes this week and would ask you please to choose your words carefully if you intend launching any personal attacks or making accusations that could lead to legal repercussions.
Its always "juicy" for a website/forum to have these types of posts and great for the stats, but we would rather keep posts respectable and always consider when posting "would you like the same said about yourself ?"
So please guys and girls, we want you to voice your opinion and have your say, but keep it decent.
Glad to get that off my chest and back to enjoying racing and what about MDK,s start in Dubai in the magnificent Meydan racetrack, can we please have one?
I have been invited to an "Oscar" birthday party this evening, which could be an omen? Plus its the "29th" (no7 draw9) our lucky numbers Brent. Problem is have to go dressed as your favourite Oscar star and cant make my mind up between Sidney Poitier or Audrey Hepburn so it will be a case of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner or Breakfast at Tiffany's
Good punting and may your God be with you
