jerry they can win 30 50 or 60 it makes zero difference to how good they are considering he beats the same horses every month..when he travels to the cape he gets beat time after time and considering that the quality of the sprinters in sa is the worst its been ever he wouldnt make the top 100 in the last 30 years..IT IS WHO YOU COMPETE AGAINST NOT HOW MANY RACES YOU WIN THAT ENTITLES YOU TO GREATNESS

Now Kincsem, could be regarded as a "great" horse
Kincsem (Hungarian for "my treasure") (1874-1887) was the most successful Thoroughbred race horse ever, having won 54 races for 54 starts. Born in Kisbér, Hungary in 1874, she is a national icon, and is revered in other parts of the world too. Over four seasons she won all her races against both female and male company at various race tracks across Europe, a record that's still unbeaten.

well the same fields I agree I can assure you if trainer Des stayed in Cape Town the story line would be the same as here and I think we must try and get some of the jockey's views on this that has ridden drums.

Should the grey stayer(name escapes me) trained by Peter Miller be regarded as our best stayer I think he's won 17 races now? You cannot compare War Artist, JJ, National Colour, Mythical Fight, Tiza even Rebel King with HTD - He's a nice provincial horse but I'm sure even his connections would be surprised to see him regarded as the best sprinter

My namesake for me was the best I have ever seen (only since my involvement....1988)
He was freakishly fast over the first 400m.
Pity he had such bad legs, but then I guess all the good ones do right?!?!?!?
HTD decent but nowhere near the best for me.

I would rate Goofy or Golden Loom , he was around for ages and proved himself over and over. Divine Act, Tommy Hotspur were all very good. I liked a filly Tracy's Element she one a really good sprint at Scotsville late 80's or early 90's I think for Ferraris.
